NZ - South Island Trip Day 4 (7 Mar)

Makarora -> Lake Wanaka -> Arrowtown -> Queenstown -> Te Anau
We did a bit of grocery shopping in Lake Wanaka, it was a beautiful lake, kinda reminded us of Lake Taupo in North Island, except for the lack of boats.

A pear that we have got from Park & Save. Lake Wanaka.
On our way to Queenstown, we stopped for the Shotover Jet. It was fun and I was surprized to see so many children taking it. There was a Demark boy besides me and he was so happy clapping his hands. We were at the second last row and Vincent got very wet :) But I've to agree that NZ$99 was too expensive.

We also went to Arrowtown to look look. The town was very old fashion looking and it reminded me of a town near Niagara Falls in Canada.

Queenstown was bigger than what we have expected. Bought some souveniors and have lunch at Subway (Satay chicken) before we headed to "Paradise". Paradise is a place that Vincent came across in a brochure which many movies have gone for their shottings, even Bollywood. Its somewhere near Glenorchy.
We checked at the "i" in Glenorchy and they told us that its a farm and we have to go on unsealed road for sometime and cross a river before we can get there. Despite of that, we went. It was actually two rivers that we have crossed. Thank god our car managed.

Paradise found!
It was late when we reached Te Anau and almost all the motels were full again! We checked into a hotel when they offered us NZ$80 for a night :)
