Down with fever

(back logged)

Edlynne vomitted after her last feed. She was feeling very warm even after her bath. We took her temperature but its still okay and we just let her sleep. However when I checked on her at about 11:30 pm, she was burning.

We quickly changed and took her to the nearby 24 Hrs clinic. It was close to midnite and not much people on the streets. By the time we reached the clinic, its exactly at 12 midnite and the charges for consultation was high at S$58.

Edlynne's temperature was 38.8 C and the doctor quickly inserted the bullet. He commented that Edlynne might be down with virus inflection as there was a recent outbreak. Edlynne don't seems to like him.

We put the tired baby back to sleep and set the time to monitor her. At about 5 am, little gal was awake and asked for milk.

Come morning,

Does she look ill?

The next two days, her temperature hovered around 38.5 C but she shown no signs of illness. Still sweating and playing like her usual self. Out of desparation, Mother went to the medium again and the comment was that Edlynne was teething and thus the high temperature. This was the first time that Edlynne was "ill".
