Edlynne's First Birthday!

Image hosting by Photobucket

Its Edlynne's 1st birthday on Saturday and I haven't managed to put this entry for the last two days. Sunday, I was tired and busy and Monday, I was due for my medical checkup at Raffles Hospital. I wanted to do it yesterday afternoon but I was in RH from 9 am till 2 pm and was too exhasted to do anything. OK, enough of my excuses...

On Saturday, we booked the function room for Edlynne's event. Initally we wanted Room 1 but it was booked when we checked at 9 am after it was released the night before at 12 midnight. Someone must have wanted it badly to book at 12 midnight... So we took function room 2 instead.

For dinner, we've got Neo Garden buffet and managed some dicounts when we indicated that its for baby's first birthday. The food were yummy! In additional, mother and some aunties also came togther and made some food - Mother's fried beehoon and red eggs. Second aunties's oily rice, ang ku kuay and seven layed cake. Third aunt's jellies. She even made two very special one for Edlynne, one was the old fashion birthday jelly and the other was a heart shaped one.

Edlynne's birthday cake was from e-creative. Intially I've wanted the Elmo 3D cake but Vincent wanted something that was for 1st birthdays. He said that the Elmo 3D cake can wait for the next birthday.

The event commanced at 6 pm and ended at 9 pm. Almost all our relatives turned up and some of our close frens too. Everyone loves to carry the birthday gal.

I was kinda worried that the gal will not sleep after all the excitement and with so many strangers carrying her. But it seems like my worries were unneccessary, that little gal gladly took her milk and went to sleep :)

My Gal...

I've noticed that Edlynne have really grew up a lot with our recent trip. She have changed from that gon gon baby to this really cute little gal. She can be an angel at times and a terror next.

I still remembered how mad she was when she saw us at the airport (when we came back from NZ). Vincent said that its a good thing that she was mad, as it shows that she cares. She wasn't mad with mother and father though she likes them, she's just mad at us and this shows that we mean a lot to her :)

She wasn't a fussy baby, she don't normally choose her food, won't fuss when the weather is too hot or too cold or even when she soiled her diapers. But she is a very active and playful gal. She loves to play and will put up a fight when she is sleepy. Her fav game is peekaboo. She loves to come around the corner and then shout "Ah" at us. Cheeky little gal.

Defintely a friendly gal, would normally smile when people show her attention but it doesn't mean that she likes that person to carry her. She needs time to warm up... maybe 5 mins :D

She likes to share her stuffs. When she was playing with Triston and En En, she will pushed the toys to them to share and play. She also likes touch and call out to them. I hope she will also share share us when we have our second one.

A vain baby indeed. Loves to wear new clothes... I remembered that she even cried when I took off the clothes after the fitting. Her fav tv program was a Taiwanese beauty show, hosted by Annie (singer, Harlem's wife). She paid lots of attention to the show and even wave to Annie. Really can't stand her :)

We can't believe it's been a year, this little gal will be turning one tommorrow...

KL Trip, 14-18 Apr

Yes, another KL Trip... This time to hunt for our future accomodation.

I've wanted to stay near Bandar Utama and more preferably in the condo in Damansara Perdana. But we change our mind after viewing the condos. Malaysia condos are very much different from the Singapore ones. Most of them have dark corridors (too high buildings and not enough lights to the bottom), open concept kitchens (which I totally hate) and yard facing corridors (where kpo neighbours can peep in). The prices for my preffered units were not cheap either.

Thus we started looking for houses instead. We drove around areas that we like and calling the agents number if there was a "To Let" signboard infornt. Finally we found one...

That day I was actually going to meet another agent (A) and I messed up with the timing of this agent (B). Agent (A) cancelled the appointment due to some reason and I thought agent (B) was that one and I ended up shopping when infact I was to meet up with agent (B). He called and asked why I wasn't at the house, mad of cos and I rushed down to meet him. We got lost in the compound and agent (B) have to come and picked us. When reaching the house, Vincent have to siam a snake (crossing the road!) and when we reached the place. Agent (B) rushed out of his car with a stick (dunno why he actually got a stick in his car), ran acrossed the road to hit the snake. Its a cobra (dun play play)! The snake went away into the drain...

The owners were at the place. They were an elderly couple. Keep eyeing and questioning us. Later we found out that it was their first time trying to rent out this house. That place belongs to their daughter who is a single and thus they are not reluctant for her to live by herself. Later, their son got married and live here for sometime until his place was ready. Now they just wanted to rent out so somebody (preferrably a family) can help them to take care of it.

Its a nice place and since the owner lived in it, most of the stuffs are done up and ready to move in. But I'm still a bit afraid of the snake... let see how...
