Lunch, then to The Penguin Place to view the rare yellow-eyed penguins. The guide at the Natural Wonders told us that its a very very shy bird and there are none at captivity as they were so timid and if scared, their heart rate increase so much that they can die from it.

We then packed dinner and drive up Baldwin Street. According to Guiness Book of World Records, it is the world's steepest street. 270 steps to the top.
We reached Moeraki Boulders in the evening. The beach was deserted and was strangly romantic with just the two of us.
Moeraki Boulders - 50 or more of boulders of up to 4m in circumference scattered along the beach. Largest being estimated at 7 tonnes. Each have the appearance of a woven net holding a gourd.
Vincent can't get enough of the blue penguin, so we tried our luck at Oamaru and we were in luck! Its 8:30 pm when we reached the Little Vlue Penguin Observatory, just in time for the penguin returning home from the sea.
Penguins crossing the road at Graves Walkway, just outside of the observatory.
The motels were all full at Oamaru so we proceed to Timaru, only to find that all the motels were also full. We resorted to stay in a hotel again for NZ$90 and even lost our way trying to locate it. What a day!
