The story of Baby Edlynne

Finally Sick

For dunno what reason, she was extremely hot after her nap in the shop. We took her temperature when we reached home and its 39C. Daddy bathed her and took the temperature again. Its now 38C.

Immediately we bought her to the nearby 24Hrs clinic. I do not quite like the idea of a nite clinic cos in Malaysia, its reported that sometimes the doctor in the night shift might not be a registrated license doctor. But still Daddy insisted that its too much to go to hospital for a fever.

The doctor took Edlynne temperature and she said normal *strange*. We insisted that she was running on one, the only she took the armpit temperature. Sure enough 37.6C.Check for HFM, nil, only a bit of sore throat. So its the starting of a flu.

Few days later, she started running nose. It didn't affect her mood at all. Kept taking the tissue and blowed her nose. Sometimes she even make the mucus to spite us. Notti gal!




The running nose went away after a week.

Singapore Trip & First Trimester Test

I've scheduled a meeting with Dr Selina for the First Trimester Test on Tuesday. We started early so that we can go do the long term social visit pass for Edlynne. Its still dark at 5am when we left and reached JB at 9am. But alas, Daddy's passport was overdued and we only manged to find out at the Singapore custom. An officer was sent to escort us out of Singapore, so "malu". I made my way back for the tests.

NT scan shown baby to be very normal and low risk of Down syfrome. Present of the nasal bone also confirmed this. Later Dr Selina went on to scan its head, heartbeat (my first time hearing the heartbeat although I've been to many scans in KL), limbs and then its gential parts. Dr Selina confirmed 80% that its a boy.




Finally finshed and reached JB at around 3pm where I saw Daddy and little gal waiting for me at City Square.

We left JB shortly and instead detoured to Air Hitam and Batu Phat as Daddy wanted to visit a fren and also to view the town. Took us quite a while to enter and exit the North-South Highway. We finally reached home at about 7:30pm and in time for a Ba Kut Teh dinner : )

My First Meet The Parents Session

Teng Teng is an adorable and intelligent girl. Although she is very young, she shows gradual progress whereby she is able to have longer concentration span. Managed to recognize some of the phonics and colours. Is able to choose her own apparatuses and always complete her work cycle by putting them back on the shelf. She has developed good fine motor skills which will help her in her writing, coloring and threading. She communicate with her friends and teacher in her own language. She is co-operative and play well with her friends.

No.2 Progression

I have a serious tummy cramp last Tuesday after sending Edlynne to school. Waited till daddy drives her back and I rushed to Damansara Specialist to see Dr Suzanna as she is the only female gynae there.

Baby is alright, very active and was waving its hands around.

Laboratory results indicated that its UTI




This scan however moved my EDD to 28 Nov (she even commented that it might be 20 Nov). I was on a course of antibotics but its really terrible to always feel like going but no water is coming out : (

Of pleated hair & Mother's Day

Edlynne childcare center loves to tie up her hair after bathing, so she would returned with tied up hair. This time its pleated, its the first time she got it pleated and she looks lovely in it : )

We also decided to celebrate Mother's Day today as we knew that Friday, Saturday & Sunday, we might need to work a bit late.

We went to 1-Utama for some shoes for little gal, then to get some PJs, also for her. After that, we settled for some BBQ, but little gal is tired and slept during dinner...

A Day Trip to Taiping

Its public holiday for two days in KL for both Labor Day & Vesak Day (in lieu), so we decided to close for one day and take a day trip to Taiping.

Taiping is located in between Ipoh & Penang, and daddy always wondered whats in there after a TV program.

Afraid of the traffic, we started early at 9am, reached Ipoh at 11:30am, stayed for lunch at the famous Tienjin coffee shop for some Ipoh hor fun, chee cheong fun & white coffee. We also take away some spring rolls in case we got hungry : )

Reached Taiping around 2:30pm, drive around town and then stopped for a while in the Taiping lake area before proceeding back. On the way back, we also stopped at the royal city, Kuala Kangsar to visit the Istanas.

Its about 5:30pm when we reached home, little gal slept most of the journey : )
